Analysis

After completing the final image of my mars which took some time to do, i really wanted to get a starry feel behind the planet and Moon by putting a meteor shower behind it. Although i feel that the meteor shower didn't really do what i wanted of it, it still did provide a beautiful star affect in the background.
After placing all the meteors in, i then had to play around with lighting. The lighting was a little but more tricky so i spent an age putting it in different angles and location to get the right effect. Too be honest i came across the sun affect light by accident (red ring top left) when i was playing with the lighting. I used a day light filter and just enlarged it causing it too look like a sun or similar. With the second light (red ring off center) i used that light to illuminate the moon too give mars a shadow and also to glow Mar's surface on the side nearest the sun light. I also put the second light there so that it wouldn't affect the stars and too show the whole star object. The stars in the background where individually copied and pasted with some further away to give it a distant feel. The star was actually a moon which i just copied and modified so that it was really distorted until it looked unrecognisable and then i used it as a star.
