For this man i had to use bones so that i could have his arm hit the fly when landing on the head. I decided to create a basic man because he would not be present long enough in the animation.
After finishing the modelling of my squirrel I needed to place fur on it. I had a few options one being mapping and the other hair and fur. I decide to go with the hair and fur modifier because I felt that this would give the best effect on my squirrel. There was a slight little hick up because when I modelled the squirrel I modelled the tail the size it should be with fur. Too overcome this problem I had to decrease the tail size by selecting polygons and shrinking it after this was done I could finally start work on the hair modifier. With the tail I had to make it fluffy. To do this I had to keep the tail and the body separate so it would be easier for me to modify the hairs easier. I then had to change the body colour of my squirrel and lengthen the hair. I changed the colour so that the tips were light and the base dark. When getting to the body fur it was a much larger challenge then I anticipated. Firstly I had to select the areas I was going to colour white and the areas I was going to colour red. Having done this I spent a long time playing around with the thickness of roots so that there weren’t many bold bits. I also increase the amount of hair follicles as well. Not that I don’t enjoy combing, but this was a little weird. Unfortunately I could not overcome the problem of boldness so once I rendered it I place it in to Photoshop and patched the light areas. I feel that the final outcome of this squirrel was satisfying I do feel that the next time I tackle a project like this I will be able to Finish the product a lot more professionally.

After doing the symmetry i had to extrude arms, legs and neck from the main box. For the shoulder extraction i had too add loads of lines so that i could curve the shoulder round taking the box feel away from the shoulder. I hesitated a little bit for the neck thinking that there would be another way of making the neck more circular like getting a sphere and doing it that way. Unfortunately i couldn't. Although just by connecting lots of lines and placing it i managed to get pretty much the same ending.
I haven't completed the arms just yet because i need to finish do the torso. For the torso i ringed the edges except the last edge in closes too the symmetry point and used the the size tool making his waist line go in a little bit giving him more shape and character. I have also extrude a little lip at the bottom of his torso where it joins the legs so that it give an effect of a coat hanging over.
For the legs i had to again extrude a square out and then extrude the polygon further down to the ankles. for the shoes i had to rotate it round until it was flat and kept stretching it out until it was flat, then i made the end polygon smaller to give it a shoe shape. After creating the basics of the leg and foot i added more points to give it more of a curve. i enlarged the top part (base) of the leg and also made the knee a little bit larger as well.
Making the ear for the squirrel was extremely hard, although not complete the ear that i have created compared too the last ear is a lot more detailed. I am quite please with the out come so far because its a huge step forward from the pointed rabbit looking pixie ears. Its taken a long time to place all the segments and move them about to get the shape of the ear. adding loads of lines too manipulate is quite confusing and complicated but that was the only way i could work out how to change the shape so that it looked more refined. I'm not really sure how i am going to get the hair on the top of the ear there yet but that will be another challenge on its own accord.
